TUESDAY TALK - January 20, 2015

As we "Start Again" with our  Tuesday night group and as we begin really moving towards the launch of the Bloomington-Normal campus of the Vineyard. Corrie and I are exploring important questions that people have been asking. Last week, we explored "Why commit?" This week, we want to uncover the idea of…

"Why Bloomington-Normal?"

As a family, we've been on this journey towards this community for a long time.

  • Adam - grew up coming here as a kid living in the small town of Lincoln. Plus, my mom worked for State Farm.
  • Corrie - grew up coming here to visit her sister and brother in law who were students at ISU.
  • College - this is where we went on dates. Adam's friend Mike Baker pastor's here.
  • Then we left for Ohio for 10 years
  • 2009-13 -- praying about what was next for us as a family. Still visiting BN on a regular basis.
  • Last year - approached Hap/Di about the church. Told the staff and congregation.

Beyond that… this is how we feel about all of this.

Romans 12

“9 Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. 10 Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. 11 Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.[f] 12 Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. 13 When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.”

Key Thought:
The Waters’ family really wants to be here…
and can’t wait to do real, regular life with you and with this community.
