"EXPECTATIONS"

with Adam Waters
Introduction
· I told of my first experience at King’s Island where we waited in line for 4 hours for Faceoff and 3.5 for the Beast. We were there for 12 hours and rode ONLY 4 rides!!!
· We wait in line because at the end we expect something great!
· Matthew 10:7-8 ~ Last week we talked about urgently pursuing our 21st century lepers with the Love of Jesus Christ. This week, we begin a new series on what we should expect when we go.
· Expect God’s presence when you go.
WHEN YOU EXPECT GOD’S PRESENCE…
YOU WON’T BE AFRAID: 2Kings 6:1-21 “Don’t be afraid! There are more on our side than on theirs!” Then Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.
YOU WILL PREPARE: Ephesians 6:10-20
1) Recognize your rival
2) Firm up your faith.
3) Pray with persistence.
YOU WON’T FORGET TO TAKE JESUS WITH YOU: Matthew 28:20 “And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of this age.”
CHALLENGE:
o Are you ready for God to open your eyes?
o To open your eyes to the lost and hurting that He’s sending you to?
o To open your eyes to the host of heaven that goes with you?
